Over one hundred RDA Members, Manufacturer Partners, and valued Guests gathered this week at the 2017 RDA IMPACT Fall Performance Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. The event took place over three days, and included a presentation by Don Hobbs of MAPS Business Training on neural linguistics and embedded commands. Don also conducted ‘The One Thing’ workshop about how to focus to achieve the desired results. The workshop was followed by team & leadership challenges that generated multiple conversations and a lot of laughter. The ‘Members Only Day’ included presentations by industry equipment manufacturers, asTech, Matrix Wand, UniCure Spray Booths, and Launch, who provided information on industry relevant products and services. The day concluded with a Shareholders meeting, Member meeting, and Board of Directors meeting. Evening entertainment included networking events exclusively for RDA at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame the first evening, and at Pickwick & Frolic the second evening. RDA’s next meeting will be March 21-23 at the Embassy Suites in Denver, CO.
Robert and Melissa recently returned from SEMA in Las Vegas, where they attended industry sessions and held Manufacturer meetings to focus on support of the RDA organization and Membership in 2017. Our Manufacturer Partners appreciated the time allocated to them to review RDA programs and initiatives for the coming year. RDA received compliments for the quality and focus of both the organization and meetings they have attended. Everyone is very excited about the format for the next meeting in March!
Fall IMPACT Performance Conference 2016
The recent meeting in New Orleans was a big hit with both RDA Members and Manufacturers. Everyone had a great time networking and receiving valuable information from several great presenters. The meeting was jam-packed and well balanced with industry details, leadership and motivation presentations, and lots of fun sprinkled along the way! Attendees experienced a great Jobber of the Future Round Table, an interesting and active team building exercise with WITS, and 2 exceptional non-industry speakers, Noah Rickun and AB Bourke.
Everyone also tasted great New Orleans cuisine, including the fare at Brennan’s for our welcome reception & dinner. The iconic restaurant was within walking distance, and the festivities started in style as 80 of us marched there in a private RDA New Orleans Mardi Gras parade, led by a 6 piece band and an official police escort blocking the streets just for us! Check that one off the bucket list!
Member Meeting Portion – RDA Members were treated to an excellent presentation on ‘Mentoring’ from Scott Townsend of Akzo Nobel. Presentations on new product offerings were also given by Seth Glauberman of Presta and Wendy Grantham of AMMEX.
RDA Attends NACE 2016
Robert McKenzie and Melissa Jolls recently attended NACE & CIC in Anaheim, CA. Robert and Melissa had an opportunity to meet with several manufacturers on behalf of RDA while attending NACE, and also visit with Members attending the event.

MAY MEMBER MEETING 2016
Awesome is what you get when you mix great Members, a dedicated staff, an unusual venue, exceptional speakers, and real business ‘take-aways’ with lots of fun! Stepping totally outside the box, RDA met in St. Louis, MO at Busch Stadium in the Cardinals Administrative Offices. Keeping the baseball theme, the keynote speaker was Jim Morris, subject of the Disney movie starring Dennis Quaid. Cardinals Sr. VP & GM, John Mozeliak also made an appearance on the RDA stage. Other speakers included David Luehr & Ron Kuehn, who presented a program on Local Performance Groups for PBE distributors, and Brad Mewes, who gave a very information and interesting MSO presentation.
